I recently had the pleasure of using a small Mac OS X app that I believe would be especially useful for fans of the play-by-email strategy game "Waving Hands." This app functions by providing a comprehensive table of all the spells available within the game. For those unfamiliar with the game, I would highly recommend checking it out on the FireMountainServer website, where you can sign up and create your own wizard to compete against others.
One of the features that impressed me the most in this app was the ability to copy text from emails containing the previous turn history and then easily paste it directly into the application. Once pasted, the app generates a clear and concise display showing the number of turns required to complete each spell. This feature alone is a significant time-saver and makes the app an invaluable tool to have when playing the game.
Unfortunately, I should note that this functionality appears to be broken in more recent releases of OS X. However, if you're looking for a quick and reliable way to track spells within "Waving Hands," this app is still definitely worth considering.
