I recently had the pleasure of testing Firestorm, an impressively high-performing Network Intrusion Detection System (NIDS). Though it's currently just a sensor, the folks behind this innovative technology have plans to add support for analysis, reporting, and remote console, as well as on-the-fly sensor configuration.
