As a Mac OS 9 user, I have found the ability to launch applications and open folders and files by pressing function keys incredibly useful. However, I quickly ran out of Fkeys to assign commands to. Thankfully, Fkey Expander has come to the rescue.
Fkey Expander extends the function key hotkey capabilities of Mac OS 9 by providing submenus. With this software, I can create files that point to up to ten other files, essentially giving me ten more commands per function key.
Configuring Mac OS to open an Fkey Expander file has greatly increased the number of things I can access just by pressing a few keys on my USB keyboard.
As for requirements, Fkey Expander works with a PowerPC processor and a USB keyboard. All in all, I highly recommend this software to fellow Mac OS 9 users looking to optimize their workflow.
