FlashAmp is a stand-alone application that generates arrays of audio data suitable for use with Macromedia Flash™. By using simple Actionscript, you can easily synchronize animations or anything else you would like to synchronize with sound.

While using FlashAmp, you can achieve lip sync for animated characters in Flash in mere seconds. This software package creates audio amplitude, spectrum, and cue point data that you can use to accomplish several things, including accurately synchronizing animations to sound (even if it is streaming), animate sound waveforms, animate VU meters, use audio cue points in Flash, create graphical eq type displays (with FlashAmp Pro), and create intense frequency-based music visualizations (with FlashAmp Pro).

FlashAmp also allows variable control of amplitude Smoothing setting, optionally set custom spectrum bandwidths (FlashAmp Pro only), and provides settings for the overall frequency range used in spectrum analysis (FlashAmp Pro only). FlashAmp supports 48kHz sample rate sounds and MP3 files using Variable Bit Rate (VBR) and Joint-Stereo encoding.
