Flover

Flover is a must-have software extension for those who enjoy downloading flash movies from popular video streaming platforms like YouTube and Dailymotion. It also promises the introduction of features to support other platforms in future versions.

To use Flover, ensure your system meets the following requirements: GTK+ version 2.4.x, python version 2.4 or higher, pygtk version 2.0 or higher, epiphany-browser version 2.14 or higher and epiphany-extensions version 2.14 or higher.

Installation is a seamless process, simply copy the flover.py and flover.ephy-extension files into the epiphany extension directory then adapt the epiphany path to fit your system. For instance, "cp flover.py flover.ephy-extension /usr/lib/epiphany/2.18/extensions/".

In order to utilize Flover, activate it by clicking on "Tools > extensions" in your Epiphany menu. This will add a small icon on the status bar to help identify when a media file recognized by Flover has been detected. You can then click on the icon to download the video directly to your epiphany downloads folder.

There are several new features in this release including support for downloading videos from GoogleVideo and MetaCafe.com. Additionally, a right-click popup menu with "save as" and "copy link" options has also been included.
