Fluggel

I recently tested out Fluggel - a drop application utility that allows its users to set the type and creator of a folder of files to a particular type and creator. This includes all of its subfolders, which is quite handy for large organizations with a lot of files.

However, before using Fluggel, I must warn potential users that it lacks an undo option. So, unless you manually make a backup copy of your folder, it's important to proceed with caution.

Using Fluggel is easy. It involves simply dragging one or more folders on top of the Fluggel application icon in the Finder. Once you do this, Fluggel immediately starts to traverse the folders and all their subfolders, changing the type and creator of all files it finds with a given type and creator to the specified type and creator.

Overall, I find Fluggel to be a simple and effective solution for anyone looking to set the type and creator of files to a particular type and creator. It's especially useful for those who have a lot of files to process, as it saves a significant amount of time.
