Folder Crypt offers password encryption for Windows files and folders using standard algorithms like AES, DES, and ARC4. Its low-level encoding provides true, robust protection for data, with ciphers up to 2048 bits.
Once the encryption has been applied, you can't turn it back to the original format (unless you have the correct passphrase). Your Windows folder will become a .crypt file, which would take the place of the original folder. Any original files and folders can be shredded if you wish. You can password protect opening, editing, and viewing of the folder contents.
