Force Shut Down software automatically closes multiple front-end Microsoft Access applications on a network, and provides an example database to demonstrate its functionality.

With Force Shut Down, network administrators can simply check a box bound to a field in a linked table. The front-end applications then check the field value each minute to determine if it's time to automatically close. If the field value is True, a warning message appears for one minute, prompting the end-user to save any unsaved data before the application automatically closes one minute later.
When network administrators need to perform back-end maintenance while users are active, they can check the box and wait for at most two minutes, and the back-end database will be free. Force Shut Down is compatible with Access 2007, 2003, 2002, 2000, and 97.
