Fresh

Fresh is an excellent software application that assists users in finding recently created or modified files with ease. One of the main advantages of Fresh is its ability to hide itself when not in use, keeping your screen free from clutter. Fresh consists of two primary sections. The top section displays files currently being edited along with other designated files. Any new or modified files that you download from the internet or save as an attachment in Mail will also appear here.

As new files emerge on your computer, they are automatically added to this section. If you click on an item and press delete, it will only remove it from the Fresh list while leaving the file intact on your disk. But, to discard a document file permanently, press 'command-delete' or drag it to the trash can in the dock.

Since new items are added into the 'Fresh Files' area frequently, you can easily move those files that you plan to work with today into the 'Cooler' below. This Cooler is like a shelf where you can store things. Here is where the real magic happens. Unlike your desktop, all the files listed in the cooler can be anywhere on your computer. The Cooler also automatically throws out items that overflow, thanks to its Autoclean function, so you never have to worry about clutter.

All the items displayed in Fresh are merely pointers to the actual files, which means that if an item falls out of the Cooler due to lack of use, it won't be thrown out for good. In summary, Fresh's unique ability to help users quickly locate new and modified files, in addition to its adaptable Cooler feature, makes it a must-have application for anyone who wants to boost work productivity.
