Fret Fun is an interactive guitar flash card game designed to help learners memorize the note names on guitar and improve reading music skills. It is easy, engaging, and has three challenge levels. The game provides a review of the missed notes at the end of each round.

Individual games present a random assortment of 20 notes, with one note displayed at a time. Players must select the note's name, string number, and fret number to progress. After every game, players can review missed notes from an extensive selection of 50 possible names to master (48 in Level 2 and 47 in Level 3).
To initiate gameplay, players must first select the challenge level. "Level 1 (Just Got a Guitar)" targets Zone 1, which covers all the notes found in every string up to and including the 4th fret, as well as the open strings. Players should note that some notes have two names, such as F# (also known as Gb). Therefore, both spellings are included across every level.
Correct answers earn players five points for first-try answers and 2.5 points for subsequent attempts. The game calculates a percentage score at the end of each game, including a review of missed notes.
"Level 2 (Have Some Chops)" covers Zone 2 and all spellings from the 5th fret to the 8th fret on every string.
"Level 3 (Virtuoso)" targets Zone 3, covering all spellings from the 9th fret to the 12th fret on every string.
Free practice and study sheets are available for each level at www.Music4ClassicalGuitar.com under the "Notes on the Guitar" section.
In summary, Fret Fun is an excellent learning tool for guitar enthusiasts to improve note-reading skills. It is engaging, simplistic and aims to enhance one's guitar skills.
