This software is a Geant4 Visualization Driver used to enhance simulation visuals for OpenSceneGraph. It uses advanced graphics rendering technologies and can create complex visual effects.
G4OSG is a powerful open-source software that works as an OpenSceneGraph driver for Geant4. Although it is not currently part of either system, it is hoped that G4OSG can become a part of one or both of these vital software tools soon. With G4OSG, developers can quickly and easily build Geant4 applications which use OpenSceneGraph for rendering, as well as optionally use either Motif or wxWidget widgets. For those interested in installing and utilizing G4OSG, it is important to note that presently it has only been tested on Linux. However, Example03 can demonstrate successful compilation with the cross-platform CMake system. The G4OSG download includes the main driver and three example projects. These projects showcase the integration of Geant4 projects with osgViewer. Specifically, two examples follow the Geant4 build convention of gmake and place compiled binaries in the $G4INSTALL/bin/Linux-g++ directory.
