Geotagger

Geotagger is a useful software tool that allows you to geotag your photos using Google Earth. This droplet software lets you easily insert GPS coordinates into your photos with just a few simple steps. Firstly, you need to position Google Earth version 4 over the location you want to insert into your images. Then drag your jpegs images onto the Geotagger icon.

Once the images have been tagged, the information remains with them. Users can import the tagged images to iPhoto or upload them to Flickr or Panoramio. If you choose iPhoto, it’s worth noting that you may want to check out a plugin that exports your photos to a KMZ file. You can then open the file in Google Earth and see your photos on the globe.

You can drag images from pretty much anywhere. However, if you drag them from iPhoto, it may not show that changes have taken place. The algorithm script does the number manipulation which was initiated by Sven-S. Porst. The script was then converted to Google Earth and bundled together to create Geotagger.
