Gftracks

Gftracks is a versatile Perl module that simplifies the editing and manipulation of gramofiles or .tracks files. With this software, users can easily read and modify .tracks files using an array, where the metadata is contained in the 0th element and individual track information is held in subsequent elements.

To use Gftracks, all you need is the interactive shell, which is the most commonly used interface. Simply point the variable TRACKS to the desired .tracks file that you want to edit, and you're ready to go. For example, you can use the following command to export the track file to be edited:

 export TRACKS=/home/myhome/myrecord.wav.tracks

Once the variable is set, launch the software by running the following command on the command line:

 perl -MGftracks -e shell;

Within the shell, you will enjoy access to a range of tools and features that would allow you to easily modify the track file. You can even press "h" in the shell to bring up the help menu, which displays all the commands available.
