Gmail Notifier Widget

The Gmail Notifier Widget is a handy tool for keeping track of newly arrived emails. It presents a summary of the emails in a fading float-popup and plays an accompanying sound. The summary shows the author and subject of the email, as well as a direct link to the email on Gmail. Plus, clicking elsewhere in the summary doesn't make the float-popup disappear, so users can read properly.

The Widget presents multiple new arrivals consecutively, and users can reannounce the latest arrivals by selecting "Tell Latest Again" from the context-menu. In terms of customization, users can configure the location of the float-popup on the screen, the style of the sound, and the overall timing in the Widget's preferences. Additionally, like other notifiers, the total number of unread emails is shown and linked to the inbox or label-inbox on Gmail.

Users can monitor multiple accounts and/or multiple labels in parallel by creating copies of the Widget with different names, configuring each individually, and running them in parallel. This is made even easier with the zero-size inbox-icon that comes with the Widget.

Another great feature of the Widget is that users can build fully automated, content-aware mail-queues by defining Gmail-labels based on Gmail-filters. All of these features make the Gmail Notifier Widget a must-have for anyone who wants to stay on top of their email game.
