GMediaServer is a software application that functions as a music media server using the UPnP protocol.
GMediaServer is a powerful UPnP music media server that allows media devices to easily access and stream available audio files. Developed and implemented by Oskar Liljeblad, this server component is written in C and can run on any modern POSIX compatible system, particularly Linux.
Using the built-in http server of libupnp, GMediaServer ensures seamless streaming of audio files to clients. To get started, check the Usage and Known Bugs sections below. Also, to use GMediaServer, you need a few requirements such as GNU C Compiler (gcc), 2.95 or later, Linux SDK for UPnP Devices (libupnp), 1.2.1 or later, and ID3v1/ID3v2 Tagging Library (id3lib), 3.8 or later.
