A media formatter software designed for GNOME.
Gnome Format is a user-friendly application that facilitates the formatting (erasure and initialization) of external memory devices, such as USB sticks or SD/MMC flash cards, for your personal computer. This software is compatible with Linux-based operating systems that employ the GNOME desktop.
In order to install this program, you will need Vala version 0.5.1 or later. Keep in mind that compiling problems may arise with both older and newer versions of Vala since it is currently being developed at a rapid pace. The developer hopes to eventually create releases that do not require the Vala compiler, by including the generated C sources in the tarball.
To install Gnome Format, follow these steps: obtain the current release and extract it, configure with the following command-line input, "./waf configure --prefix=/usr", compile using the command, "./waf", and install (as root) using the command, "./waf install".
