Gnome-Pilot

Gnome-Pilot is a package equipped with a daemon called gpilotd, which keeps track of pilot connects on one or multiple devices including cradles, XCopilots, and xxx. Along with a couple of default conduits like backing up files and installing files, Gnome-Pilot has an API for building conduits. Other packages such as the Evolution mail/calendar/memo PIM application suite and gnome-pilot-conduits offer additional conduits.

One must possess pilot-link library and header files to run gnome-pilot. The latest.tar.gz of pilot-link is available for download. For compiling the latest development version in cvs of this software, pilot-link from cvs is required, and below are the steps to obtain it:

1. Run the command - "pilot-link cvs -d :pserver:[email protected]:/cvs/pilot-link login" to log in to pserver.
2. The password is simply "ENTER".
3. Run the command - "cvs -d :pserver:[email protected]:/cvs/pilot-link co pilot-link" to get pilot-link from cvs.
4. Run "./configure --prefix=" and then "make" and "make install" to install it.
5. You may need to disable some languages to build it. Use the command "./configure --help" for the appropriate options.
