Gobuntu

Gobuntu is a version of Ubuntu that functions as a desktop environment. Similar to Kubuntu and Xubuntu, Gobuntu is based on a GNOME desktop with several restrictions on code and content licenses. The primary aim of Gobuntu is to eliminate anything that is not modifiable and redistributable. This includes firmware, PDFs, video footage, and sounds. The platform attempts to implement the "rights" definition put forth by the Free Software Foundation.

Currently, Gobuntu does not enable optimal hardware usage. However, it serves as a symbol for the cause of software freedom while also functioning as a reference. Being able to run Gobuntu on a laptop, desktop, or server is a point of great pride as it signifies that all the pieces have fallen into place, allowing complete freedom for hardware use with free software.
