GVidChanger-minimal, also known as gvidm, is a helpful software tool for quickly and easily changing video resolutions in X. This GTK application opens a list of available modes for the user to select from. It also provides the option to cancel the operation if needed. The default setting is to build the program for GTK 2.0 when it is present. However, the user can specify configure --with-gtk1 to force the program building with GTK 1.x.

Additionally, the latest version addresses the issues with the build, such as when xf86Parser.h is not present. Although in such cases, interlaced or doublescan modes may display incorrect refresh rates.
