Half-life Admin MOD

Half-life Admin MOD is an administration plugin mod designed for Half-Life servers. It is a Metamod plugin that allows you to easily administer your Half-Life server from your client console while playing the game. With the ability to set up multiple administrators with different permissions, each with their own password, you no longer have to give your server's rcon password to all your administrators. Additionally, the software supports scripts written in the Small programming language that adds new features to the core program.

One of the key features Half-life Admin MOD offers is its versatility; it works on dedicated and listen servers on the Internet and on a local area network. The software allows you to set different access levels for each authorized administrator, reserve server slots for administrators, make the server a "private" server only accessible by registered users, kick, ban, or gag disruptive players, change maps through direct commands or a vote, balance teams, restrict weapons, and more. With over 200 contributed scripts available, you can easily find a script to add even more features to your server.

The Admin Mod is compatible with all Half-Life based games that are compatible with Metamod; it can run on Windows and Linux/FreeBSD operating systems. It is currently used on over half of all Half-Life servers active on the Internet.

In the latest release, the software has added a 64bit Linux version for AMD64, revised the Windows installer install_admin.vbs to properly detect new Steam accounts and have a more consistent user interface. They've also added cvar_exists() scripting function to check if a cvar exists or not, get_timer() scripting function, valid_mapex() scripting function, and Admin Mod is now unloadable at any time. They've also allowed the use of the loopback IP 127.0.0.1 in the users.ini file. In addition, they've revised plugin_CS to add the possibility of deleting previously saved map and server default restrictions, added a console/screen message when saving/deleting default restrictions, added a submenu to the restriction menu "Restrictions defaults" which can save, delete, and apply the map and server default restrictions, fixed a bug where admin_restrict listed the longer list of items/weapons instead of the shorter one, improved version detection, using the new cvar_exists function, and implemented team- and playerspecific restrictions.
