HS X.25 is a C-based software library that implements ITU-T recommendation X.25 and comes with complete source code. Additionally, it features an RFC1613 Cisco XOT module for X.25 over IP applications.

One of the most significant features of HS X.25 is that it includes RFC1613 Cisco XOT protocol which makes it an excellent tool for X.25 over TCP applications. Besides, this software runs on different operating systems, including Windows and Unix / Linux / Solaris. HS X.25 also supports SVCs and PVCs and internally at a lower layer interfaces to the HsDL library, which is a data link layer abstraction.
When HS X.25 is ported into an environment with either LAPB or LAPD as data link layer, only the HsDL module needs to be changed, while HsDL links directly to HsSock module, which is a Winsock interface component that provides reliable TCP transport services similar to LAPB / LAPD / HDLC. What's more, the HsX25, as provided to the customer, can be used immediately in X.25 over TCP (XOT) solution or with traditional LAPB or LAPD. In this case, only the HsDL will need to be modified.
HS X.25 has several fantastic features that include incoming and outgoing SVC supported and built-in RFC1613 XOT module. The software is designed to support 4095 VCs, and its maximum packet length is 1024. Additionally, all X.25 timer and counters are implemented in this software, and it supports interrupt packets, VC Statistics, Trace Function, Call User Data, and User Facilities.
Other features that make HS X.25 a robust software library include M bit, D bit, and Q bit procedures supported. It is also configurable to different window and packet sizes and incoming and outgoing LCN ranges. With HS X.25, you can enjoy DTE operation and DCE operation, among other exciting features that make it a must-have software in today's world.
