Hydromancy, an OpenGL screensaver for OS X, is a great addition to your desktop. It is a perfect representation of a book I loved as a child. You will find an amorphous blob this time instead of a panda bear, oozing around the screen. The screensaver provides options to control the number of liquid blobs and their colors.
This freeware comes with a new color tab in the configure panel that gives you more control over the appearance of your screen. Additionally, you can use an experimental 3D rendering mode to add more depth to your blobs. Though the 3D rendering mode is currently under development and might not look the best, you can turn it on to test its abilities.
One of the annoyances of the previous version was the flickering of the blob edges. However, this has been fixed in the latest release. The developers have worked hard to make the screensaver a pleasant experience for you.
