ICE INSIDE v1.0 is a LAN Office Messenger that includes File-Sharing capabilities, making it easy to quickly and securely exchange files within an office environment.
ICE INSIDE is an office messenger designed to optimize internal communication and data transfer for companies and organizations. With its file-sharing functionality, it helps to speed up communication with colleagues and co-workers. This LAN/WAN Messenger works without the need for an additional server by using a direct peer-to-peer (P2P) connection inside your local TCP/IP Network. This means that it works economically and provides maximum security and protection against external access.
Installation, configuration, and use of the software is made easy, and special PC knowledge is not required. Users can join their local messaging network by entering their email address and optional workgroup name. Once successfully connected, users can see the names and connection-states of all other affiliated users directly on the group-oriented contact list. Drag-and-drop files over a user-item, and the file-transfer will begin. Double-click on a user-item to open the instant messenger.
The Messenger supports Plain- and Rich-Text formatted messages, compatible with Microsoft Office Products. If Microsoft's OUTLOOK is installed and registered as the standard mail-client, INSIDE will use it to send offline-messages via email. The integrated Localizer enables you to customize the application language on runtime. If you don't like the current terms used in a translation or a language is missing, you have the possibility to change or expand the language-file with your own creation.
