IEP-IPP

IEP-IPP is an open-source software program that is available to users free of charge. This collaborative effort was designed by K-12 special education teachers, multimedia experts, and K-12 technology staff to create a high-quality and comprehensive program planning system. The software is versatile and can be used to manage individual education/program plans of students in Pre-Kindergarten through to Grade 12, as well as those in gifted and ESL programs. The development team welcomes suggestions and efforts to improve the system further.

IEP-IPP offers a range of features, including a web-based, multiuser platform, a database of goals and objectives, email notifications for staff regarding student transfers, and school-based management capabilities. Users can also generate Portable Document Format (PDF) hard copies, plus access archived inactive IPPs.

To utilize IEP-IPP, users must have specific software in place. These include Apache, Mysql (version 4+), PHP (version 4+), PHP GD libraries, Pear Mail, and Numbers_Roman Classes.

IEP-IPP's latest release includes some key improvements. Users can now duplicate a program plan, while bugs affecting the system's database index and font-related problems have been addressed. There have also been fixes to password change and view uploaded files issues, particularly when using PHP5.
