IP_ePad

I recently downloaded ePad, a lightweight, yet highly functional text editor. I was pleasantly surprised by the powerful features that ePad offers. For starters, it has an HTML compression feature, a spell-checker, a Flesch-Kincaid readability calculator, encryption, and even a vulgar word censor. Additionally, it offers several formatting options such as multiple case tools and the ability to both add and remove hard wrap formatting.

One of the most noteworthy features is its ability to save text files in Adobe's PDF format. ePad also has a useful MRU (Most Recently Used) list, which displays the last five documents opened by the program and makes it easy to open any of them. The spell-check feature is also impressive, as it allows users to test the correctness of words in the current document and choose whether to replace, skip or add them to the dictionary for future use.

For those looking to change certain text within their documents, ePad's replace text dialog feature automatically replaces a given text with another given text. Additionally, the program offers a Numbers to Text function that translates actual numbers to their textual equivalents. Those looking to justify their texts can use ePad's Justify feature (Left/Right/Center) and indent (Increase/Decrease) options.

Wrap/UnWrap functionality allows the program to place/remove hard returns in the text to force its layout to a given number of columns. ePad also allows users to randomly scramble selected text, reverse the order of selected text, and even encode text using a keyword of their choice. For those looking to remove HTML tags, ePad's feature to Strip HTML is highly useful. It also has a Compress HTML feature that removes characters that would normally be invisible during HTML rendering, reducing the file/transfer size.

Overall, I highly recommend ePad to anyone looking for a text editor packed with useful features that make it easy to create and modify documents.
