The ispCP project is a Multi Server Control and Administration Panel that has been designed without any limits. However, it will be a while before an usable version is available for public use as developing such a tool takes a lot of time. The Control Panel has been created in a way that makes it usable by any Internet Service Provider (isp).
To grab the interest of potential users, the team decided to support the VHCS project, which was on the verge of extinction. VHCS is an incredibly powerful tool that makes administering web hosting services easier. ispCP has created a fork of VHCS called ispCP Omega which is based on the original open source project.
The core members of the former VHCS developing team- Malte aka ephigenie and Benedikt aka RatS - were keen on creating a real open development of VHCS. This goal has been made possible with the ispCP project. However, since they cannot change the copyright of the parts already used in the VHCS project licensed under the Mozilla Public License, ispCP aims to make all the new parts available under the Gnu Public License (V2).
