JDemo

JDemo is an excellent Java demonstration framework that shares a similar concept to JUnit. As an essential supplement to test-driven software development, JDemo offers a new demo-driven development approach. This approach involves writing short code snippets known as demo cases that use your new API to showcase both how to use the API and what happens when you execute the code. This way, you can interactively test the usability of GUI components.

The JDemo project offers numerous convenience classes and methods for easy demo implementation. The demos can be launched from a Swing application called Demo Runner, and they can also be used for capturing screenshots automatically - perfect for documentation purposes.

To use JDemo, you need to have JDK 1.6 or a later version in place. With its latest release, the JDemo has undergone some significant updates that have made it more compatible and similar to JUnit 4. It now contains a new @Demo annotation that marks methods as demo methods, and there is a DemoAsTestRunner that you can use to run demos as JUnit 4 tests.
