KiruruRus is an exciting shoot'em'up game with beautiful hand drawn graphics and multiple weapons to choose from. In this game, you play as a ship and take on hordes of enemies with different weapons at your disposal. The controls are easy to learn and intuitive.
To start the game, simply press the space key. You can also pause and unpause the game at any time using the same key. Use the 'O' key to change your weapon selection. There are three different weapons you can choose from, each with its own unique properties.
Weapon 0 is a straight shot that moves forward and picks up some downward/upward acceleration if your ship is moving in either of those directions. Weapon 1 is a wave beam that travels rather slowly but has a large arc that can easily wipe out a field of enemies. It also has the ability to fire through walls.
Weapon 2 is a powerful backwards shot that does tremendous damage (3 times the other weapons) and is useful for killing enemies that rush up behind you and for killing bosses in 1/3 the time. It features the wall penetrating abilities of weapon 1.
Use the 'L' key to adjust your ship's speed and the 'P' key to fire your weapons. Use the "WASD" keys to move your ship around the screen. The little purple square on your ship is the block for detecting collisions. If anything hits it, you'll lose some life.
Aim for the enemies' weapons in order to defeat them. The spots shots are coming from are the only vulnerable places in heavily armored enemies. With these tips in mind, you'll be able to master this fun and challenging game.
