Kororaa AIGLXgl is a live CD that allows users to experience the Xgl technology for manipulating 3D windows and other unique effects. The latest version of the livecd now comes equipped with AIGLX, which is Fedora's 3D accelerator for X. Upon startup, users are asked to choose which 3D system they would like to use.
Moreover, the aiglxchooser script has the added option of choosing "None," which disables all the fancy effects resulting in a "normal" livecd desktop. However, users with NVIDIA video cards will have their system automatically set to "None" as there is no available open-source driver for them.
While some users with ATI may be able to use opensource radeon driver, it does not support the latest cards. It is important to note that the Kororaa AIGLXgl Live CD 0.3 does NOT include the ATI or NVIDIA non-GPL video card drivers, rendering 3D effects unavailable on machines that require those drivers. Nonetheless, the livecd can still be used without the 3D effects.
