KOSD

KOSD is a must-have KDE program that provides an amazing On Screen Display (OSD) feature. It's super easy to install and runs in the background without causing any hassle. KOSD responds instantly to button presses and supports multiple actions such as Raise volume, Lower volume, Mute/Unmute volume, Show volume, and Show brightness. The KOSD software has strict requirements and requires you to have a KDE 3.x installed. However, the features it offers are totally worth the requisites.
