Kwave

Kwave offers an impressive sound editing experience for users of the KDE Desktop Environment. While still in continuous development, each official release is deemed stable, thanks to the project’s focus on reliability and stability. A higher priority is placed on stability over the number of features, making for a more seamless experience.

The program has undergone an extensive rewrite, resulting in a clean design that prioritizes robustness, making it a more reliable option for users. Although the program has temporarily fallen back to an alpha state after the big port to KDE2, it already proves useful for most all-day work. Several missing functions and features will be added in future versions.

It’s important to note that the transition from version 0.5 to version 0.6 represents nearly a complete rewrite of the entire program and its internal architecture. As such, some of the features from the old 0.5 version will come back one by one as the program undergoes further development.
