LIFXstyle software allows users to manually control LIFX bulbs, ensuring safety, energy savings, and versatile lighting effects. The program also provides scheduling features for when users are away.

What's great about LIFXstyle is that it works completely on your local network (LAN protocol) and doesn't connect to LIFX's cloud system. You have manual control over each bulb and groups of bulbs, allowing you to schedule them according to your convenience. The newer version (v3) even offers the ability to control lamps, groups, locations, and tags for easier and more efficient management.
Aside from the manual control, LIFXstyle also enables you to schedule your lights to switch on and off, up and down, or even use the new TV simulator so you can create the feeling of being at home even when you're not. You can choose to randomize your scheduled times to make it unpredictable and not look like they are on a timer.
LIFXstyle also offers "False dawn" and "False dusk" features that can be scheduled or manually started (just dusk) for lamps or groups. You can also access your presets and lamps from the status bar for quick and easy management. By assigning your F keys, you can access your presets even faster.
In addition, LIFX Bulbs are low-power LED bulbs with all the benefits of dimmers, time switches, and color adjustments that can detect your bulbs. You will only need to connect your bulbs to your home network using one of the free LIFX mobile apps first. The software even allows you to "Badge" dock icon with the number of lamps lit or hide the dock icon for status-bar-only operation.
For the tech-savvy users, you can also script your own color changes and effects using Applescript. Plus, there's a drag-and-drop effects designer within the app for creating color-changing or cycling effects. Overall, LIFXstyle is an excellent software that gives you complete control over your lighting and offers numerous features that make it especially useful for those who are concerned about home security and energy efficiency.
