Lincity

Lincity is a city simulation game that is available for SVGALib, X, Win32, and more. As a player, you are responsible for building and maintaining a city that meets the needs of its residents. This includes providing food, housing, jobs, and goods. You have the option to create a sustainable economy by utilizing renewable energy and recycling, or you can take a riskier approach by building rockets to escape a planet that is facing pollution and resource depletion.

Due to limited resources, this game requires frequent attention and cannot be left idle for long periods. The game requires SVGALIB 1.3.0 or higher and a graphics card that is supported by your chosen platform. It is recommended that your system is at least a 486DX2-66, with higher specs for the X version.

The 1.12.1 stable release addressed a bug fix for crashes when changing the power grid. The 1.13.1 development release features the creation of the modules subdirectory, with individual sources for each game module. The MPS subsystem has also been improved in concordance with the separation of modules from engine.c and other areas, and all drawing is now handled in mps.c. Additionally, the patch from Gerben Voshol allows for true-color displays with xpicedit, and miscellaneous code cleanups have been implemented.
