LOOK4

LOOK4 is an excellent search tool for all you Mac OS X users out there. This software provides faster search results compared to Sherlock. On the first run of LOOK4, you will need to click on the "Update" button to ensure that the database is up-to-date. Once you've done that, simply type the search criteria in the field and either press "Search" or hit enter. You will be presented with a list of all files or folders containing your search criteria.

For your convenience, it is recommended that you keep LOOK4 in the dock for easy access. Additionally, if you need more information, you can always refer to the ReadMe file included in the folder.

It's important to note that LOOK4 is designed for local file searches; it does not perform internet searches.

In the recent release, an authorization bug has been fixed. The "Update" database button has also been moved from the LOOK4 window to the File menu. Finally, if the user is not authenticated, an authorization dialog will display, prompting the user to enter their password. This should be the same password used to log into Mac OS X. Overall, LOOK4 is a great search tool for Mac OS X users looking for faster search results.
