Lyric-am

Lyric-am is a Superkaramba applet that allows you to view lyrics of your songs directly on your desktop. To use this applet, you must have amaroK player version 1.3.X or newer. Before downloading this script, you can test your configuration by writing "dcop amarok default lyrics" in your shell when amaroK plays a song with lyrics. If you receive lyrics in your shell, the script should work.

If you want to improve the performance of the applet, you can use a database to store your lyrics. The amaroK manual provides information on how to set up a database. Once you have created a database and configured it correctly, you can create a collection of lyrics by selecting the "Lyrics" tab while listening to songs online. This collection can be browsed offline as well.

It is important to note that the developer of this applet is a self-proclaimed newbie who wrote this applet only to learn Python. Therefore, the applet may not work perfectly and should be used with caution. However, the developer reports that it works well for them.

To use Lyric-am, you must have SuperKaramba installed on your device. The latest release includes added covers.
