MEDWX

Medwx is a software application that is designed to cater to the medical industry. It is a client based on wxPython and is made up of various utilities, with the most useful being a client that communicates with an archive server via the DICOM protocol. This essentially means that Medwx can be seen as a DICOM Viewer or a PACS Console, allowing physicians to view, manipulate and share medical images and other information.

Notably, Medwx is also capable of communicating with a PACS server. To install Medwx and begin using its features, the following software requirements must be met: Python 2.4 or newer, wxPython 2.6.3.0, ZODB (the Zope database), PIL (Python Imaging Library), PyOpenGL (python OpenGL wrapper), and Numeric (python array module).

To install the application, users must first unzip the Medwx ZIP file and then navigate to the Medwx directory. From there, the user should run a python setup script to build the application. After this, a copy of the application can be made by executing the appropriate command.

Once installed, users can launch the DICOM viewer in Medwx by running the viewer.py file. Overall, Medwx is a powerful and useful software application that can be of great use to physicians in the medical industry.
