MEKA is an emulator software that allows users to play Sega Master System and Game Gear games on a computer.
If you're interested in Sega Master System/Game Gear emulation or homebrew development, MEKA is a great choice. It's a feature-rich emulator with a powerful debugger and framework. To use MEKA, you'll need to have Allegro, NASM, and SEAL installed on your computer. The latest version of MEKA includes a tile(map) viewer and other changes, such as the renaming of the main executable to 'MEKA' instead of 'MEKA.exe'. MS-DOS is no longer supported as of version 0.72, which allows for fundamental changes such as switching from paletted 8-bit color modes to 16/32-bit and using various graphics filters. Other planned changes include replacing Allegro with SDL and swapping the Seal Audio Library with FMOD or SDL.
