MergeCDs is a free tool that allows users to merge multiple CDs tracks into a single sequence effortlessly. It requires users to rip CDs to their computer's music library in .mp3 format using Windows Media Player before merging.

While the software is a bit more complex than this, most of the details are of no concern to users. The important thing to note is that MergeCDs modifies the track numbers stored within each MP3 file to ensure that they play in sequential order. As long as "shuffle" is turned off on your player, the tracks (whether chapters of a book or music tracks) will play in the correct order.
For instance, suppose you have an audiobook with five CDs, each having ten tracks. Normally, the track numbers would run from one to ten on each CD. However, after merging with MergeCDs, you'll have a single group of 50 tracks, with track numbers that range from one to fifty. The newly created folder will have the same name as the first folder (minus any disc number if any), followed by "_1" to differentiate it from the first folder.
Overall, MergeCDs is a handy tool for merging multiple CDs into one folder while ensuring that the tracks play in sequential order.
