Metabar Upgrade

The Metabar Upgrade package offers users the ability to customize their meta-information display. With this functionality, users can choose which meta-data is immediately shown and which is only visible upon unfolding extra-metadata folders. For example, music enthusiasts can display artist, album, and bitrate of their MP3 files, while others may choose to show the title, subject, and comment of their PDF files. Screenshots are available for users to preview their customized display.

As the authors of the 0.8 metabar version will no longer maintain it, the Metabar Upgrade software is available for download. The software offers key features such as configuring meta-data using the "important_meta_keywords.cfg" file and the ability to edit the original names of meta-info-attributes. Also, an additional CSS-class has been added to format/indent the info-items in the template's stylesheets per ul.infoitem. Other enhancements include checkboxes to enable the CSS-Class infoitem and fold permissions & access to streamline file rights and permissions display.

To run this software, KDE 3.5.x is required. Overall, Metabar Upgrade is a user-friendly solution for customizing meta-information display and optimizing workflow efficiency.
