Mindmeld

I recently had the opportunity to try out the enterprise-level knowledge-sharing system, Mindmeld, and was thoroughly impressed with its capabilities. As an effective tool for any web community, this system allows users to easily capture and share information with one another.

One of the most unique aspects of the Mindmeld project is that its knowledgebase grows smarter every time it is used. While it only knows what you teach it, teaching it is incredibly simple.

Mindmeld's self-organizing neural mapper technology is at the core of its impressive search capabilities. The system is able to incorporate search terms used in each query into a contextual map of the answer itself. With this approach, it can constantly improve its ability to derive contextual information from any given search. By identifying which search terms are most valuable in any specific context, Mindmeld learns how people typically search for a given answer.

The latest version of Mindmeld comes with added API examples and is now compatible with PHP5 and MySQL5. Additionally, various bugs have been fixed, including a few installer issues and a plugins bug resulting in an error.
