Not only can you take images and video, but you can also add time stamps, text notes, image overlays, and even measurements or drawings to your images.
miXscope works with a wide range of devices, including the QX3/QX3+ and QX5 USB microscopes, the MiScope handheld microscope, and even external cameras like the Dino-Lite series, ProScope and ProScope HR microscopes, and DV cameras. Plus, it's compatible with any microscope or camera that has a QuickTime video driver.
Some of the key features of miXscope include the ability to capture images and videos in PNG, TIFF, or JPG formats, with real-time frame averaging and the option to import images into iPhoto. You can also create time-lapse or stop-motion movies, with an onion-skin option for the latter.
