Monkey Studio is an impressive cross-platform Qt 4 Integrated Development Environment, available for free download. The current major version is 1.x.x, with a team currently working on the next V2 release. This new version will include some new features such as complete designer integration, a class viewer, abstract debugger support, and abstract compiler(s). Monkey Studio was the first and remains the oldest project to build an IDE for Qt 4, despite being copied and competed with by others.
This IDE Project was started by Azevedo Filipe, who is also known as Nox P@sNox. He created it for his own use and released the first version to the public around the end of June 2005. Monkey Studio is a Qt 4 IDE that can be used by developers to create applications in the same way on all platforms that Qt 4 supports. Project management is only done by pro files and the software is ready to use. Qt 4 Open Source is used to develop Monkey Studio, ensuring high quality software.
