The mooseekd project is a software designed as a partial fork of Museek+, with the intent to provide solely the standalone daemon required to connect to the Soulseek peer-to-peer network. This was done to prevent any conflicting installs with existing Museek+/museekd installations.
The main objective of the fork is to offer a more inclusive means of installation with only the daemon installed, without any dependencies on libxml++/glibmm, but still equipped with only GLib (using GMarkup instead of libxml++) as a significant dependency.
To run the software, you need to have the following requirements: glibmm, Libsigc++, libxml++ 2.8, libxml2 2.6.9, libvorbis 1.1.2, and zlib.
This version features a switch from scons to autotools as the build system. The main purpose of this transition is to integrate it into an all-inclusive package with moodriver more seamlessly.
