MP3Cattle

MP3Cattle is a Java-based GUI that manages a database containing mp3 information. One of the most notable features of MP3Cattle is its ability to create playlists based on rankings, genres, labels, artists, albums, and songs. It also caters to multiple-users who can have different rankings/genres for a collection of mp3's. Users can easily generate playlists based on their preferences while having the option of limiting the playlist through a query based on size or time.

The software also comes with the capability of supporting MySQL as its relational database, specifically versions v3.22.27 and v3.22.32. MP3Cattle is now available as a .jar file along with all necessary Java packages, and the source code is also included.

Improvements have been made in the latest release such as the MP3ItemProperties Dialog boxes now remembering where they were when there were more than one. Users can now double-click items in the play list table effortlessly. The internal code is now more robust, and a new MP3CatDBI interface was created with database code cleanup. Furthermore, the software now has better support for Album/Artist merges.

To use MP3Cattle, users only need to install and have access to the MySQL database. Overall, MP3Cattle is an impressive software capable of managing mp3s with ease, offering various features to create custom playlists whilst accommodating multiple users with differing preferences.
