MPQDraft

MPQDraft is a highly useful software that emerged during the golden age of StarCraft modifications. Its initial purpose was to facilitate the loading of additional data for Blizzard games, which included graphics, sounds, movies, maps, and other assets that could be modified. With its ability to load code modules into target applications, MPQDraft became a versatile framework that could not only load modifications for Warcraft III and Diablo II, but also other Blizzard games.

As time went on, MPQDraft evolved to become a generic framework that could load code modules into target applications. The MPQ loading plug-in, which became a mainstay in the software suite, allowed for seamless loading of popular modifications and expansion packs. One of the strengths of MPQDraft is its ability to target a variety of processor architectures, including PowerPC CFM applications, Intel Mach-O, and PowerPC applications.

Despite being designed for modification assets, MPQDraft has a comprehensive API for symbol lookup and patching. As such, it can be used for other programming purposes beyond game modding. All in all, MPQDraft is a well-designed and versatile software with a wealth of practical applications.
