Mr Wimpy

I recently had the opportunity to play and review the classic game Mr Wimpy. Initially designed as a promotional item for the Wimpy burger chain, I was pleased to find that it has since been released on various platforms for general sale. My experience with the game was based on the Oric/Atmos version, which had a couple of minor differences compared to other versions.

The gameplay was straightforward and easy to pick up, even for those who may not be familiar with classic arcade-style games. The objective was to maneuver Mr Wimpy around the screen, collecting burgers while avoiding obstacles and enemies. The controls were smooth and responsive, making it easy to move around and dodge any incoming threats.

One of the things that stood out to me was the game's visual design. It had a charming retro feel to it, complete with pixelated graphics and a simple color palette. While this may not be to everyone's taste, it added to the overall nostalgia factor of the game and was in line with its original release in the 1980s.

Overall, I would recommend Mr Wimpy to anyone looking for a fun and uncomplicated game. It may not have as many features or complexities as modern titles, but it's still a blast to play and holds up well after all these years.
