MultiHDD

I recently tried out MultiHDD, a FUSE driver that combines several mount points into a single one. The usage of this driver is pretty straightforward - simply enter "mhddfs /path/to/dir1,/path/to/dir2[,/path/to/dir3] /path/to/mount" in the command line. Once you're finished with the driver, you can unmount it with the command "fusermount -u /path/to/mount".

One of the great features of MultiHDD is the "-o option" which allows you to specify additional options. For instance, you can specify a file that will contain debug information with "-o logfile=/path/to/file.log". Additionally, you can adjust the logging level with "-o loglevel=x". There are three logging levels: 0 for debug messages, 1 for info messages, and 2 for standard (default) messages.

Another useful option is the "mlimit=size[m|k|g]" option. This option sets a free space size threshold for a drive. If a drive has less free space than the threshold specified, another drive will be chosen while creating a new file. If all the drives have less free space than the threshold specified, the drive containing the most free space will be chosen. Note that the default value for this option is 4G and the minimum value is 100M. The option accepts suffixes such as [mM] for megabytes, [gG] for gigabytes, and [kK] for kilobytes.

If you want to learn more about the additional options available with MultiHDD, just enter "mhddfs -h" in the command line. Finally, it's important to note that for MultiHDD to function, you'll need to have fuse-utils and libfuse installed on your system.
