My First Step Sequencer

As a software reviewer, I recently got the opportunity to test out the My First Step Sequencer. This program was co-designed by spacedad from kvr and Jacky Lee, giving it a unique edge. One of the standout features of this program is its shuffle mode and note randomize button, which make it easy to create interesting and original beats.

Another great feature is the scale-forcing control, which restricts note selection to a specific scale. This is an excellent tool for those who want to experiment with different scales but struggle to stay within them. The program represents notes using animal heads in the carriage windows, and velocities are shown as flowers on the carriage doors. Users can select the next or previous note by left or right-clicking respectively.

The octave can be changed easily by clicking the body of the engine, which makes it simple to switch up your sound. And, for those moments you need quiet, the program also features a global mute option for stopping the plug-in from outputting MIDI data.

Installation of My First Step Sequencer is easy; just copy the MyFirstStepSequencer.vst file into your VST plugins directory (Library/Audio/Plug-Ins/VST/). It's also essential to note that this program is licensed under the terms of the MIT License.
