Nabazrok is a script for Amarok that transmits the current track, artist, and album title to a Nabaztag, allowing it to speak the information.
If you're not familiar with it, a Nabaztag is a little device that's able to say just about anything you want it to. Thanks to its text-to-speech software, it can transform strings of text into audible sentences. With Nabazrok, you can configure the script using kdialog. You'll need to supply the script with some information, such as the Nabaztag serial number, Nabazrok token, language (English or French), and a voice (Graham, Laura, Lucy, etc.)
Once you've got everything set up properly, Nabazrok will automatically send a sentence to your Nabaztag every time a track is played. The sentence will go something like this: "Playing... *title*, by *artist* from *albumtitle*." It's a simple idea, but it can add a lot to your listening experience.
Of course, you'll need a few things to take advantage of Nabazrok. You'll need Ruby, Kdialog (which comes with KDE), and Amarok itself. If you've got all these things, however, setting up the script should be relatively easy.
The latest release of Nabazrok also includes proxy support, which can be a nice addition for users who need it. Overall, we'd recommend Nabazrok to anyone who wants to get a little more out of their music listening experience. With this script, you can interact with your music in a whole new way, and it's a lot of fun to play around with.
