Negate Color is a software that allows you to invert specific color channels such as red, green, or blue.
If you're looking for a plugin to create unique color effects, Negate Color is a great option. It allows you to selectively invert any color channel - red, green, or blue - or invert all channels for a color negative film effect. Unlike other inversion plugins, Negate Color gives you the ability to choose any state between full inversion and full normal.
While the plugin may have limited uses outside of creating unusual color effects, it's still useful for special false color processing, according to one of our customers. Unfortunately, we don't know which special cases would benefit from this.
The plugin offers some key features such as defining the area of the clip you want to be affected by the plugin, while keeping all other parts of the clip untouched. You can also use the red, green, and blue sliders to selectively adjust the level of inversion in each channel, allowing you to specify inversion in percentages. A 50% inversion sets all pixels in the channel to a 50% gray value.
